Update November
over 1 year ago – Sat, Nov 19, 2022 at 02:21:10 AM

Hello Everybody

Here is a little video update. Don't usually do these so sorry if I waffle on. I felt like this update needed a little personal touch.

Don't worry Collabescape is still moving. It has just been a very slow journey to the finish line.

Will be in touch shortly.

September Update
over 1 year ago – Wed, Sep 07, 2022 at 03:05:14 PM

Hello Everyone

Just to let you know we are finishing up the artwork for the rulebook. It has had a few redrafts, new pictures, re-wording, extra features added and we believe we have it the way we want it.

Here is a small sample of what it looks like.

In the next few weeks, the artwork will be sent back and forth to Whatz Games to make sure everything is correct and then a sample will be sent for approval.

We are still pushing forward and will be in contact soon,

Regards

Jason

August Update
over 1 year ago – Fri, Aug 05, 2022 at 09:10:31 AM

Hello everyone,

Again, sorry for the delay in update. As mentioned before in the last update we have had a lot of projects on the go, we also build Escape Rooms and literally, this week has been the opening week of our new Escape Room.

We realise not everyone would want to know about our other projects but this has been the reason for the delay in updates.  The game is also replayable, just like Collabescape, so there has been a lot of moving pieces. (Boy, we do like our puzzle designs.)

 Collabescape

The artwork for the cards, board, player mats are all done it is now down to the rule book. Due to the change of manufacturer the size has changed which means we have to re-format everything. The good news is that it has brought us some more pages to work with. Which has enabled us to give a few pages to puzzle answers. ( This was originally meant for the website) However now, with a new referencing system on the puzzle cards you can quickly find out if the answer would be correct/ variable.

A small number will appear on the bottom of the puzzle card, this will link to the list of possible answers that would be available in the original game and with the expansion pack too.

We know it has been a long time waiting for this and we apologise for the delay. We do have more time now to get this completed. We will be able to speed ahead and put more time into getting this game finished and into mass production.

Thank you for your patience and support.

May Update
almost 2 years ago – Sun, May 29, 2022 at 12:43:38 AM

Hello everyone

Just a quick update. We are still in the supply artwork stage at the moment and still in the process of getting the final draft sample out. We are just finishing the last of the proof reading.

We apologise for the delay in everything. It has been a journey so far and it was not the plan to be this far behind. We have seen some posts about KS campaigns that have not supplied their product and want to ensure you that we are still here and still working on this.

Unfortunately when we started this, we had a family emergency that knocked us for six. When we came back into operation we were in high demand, as a company we are building a new premises, have been commissioned for designing another room, been booked for school visits, collaborated with another company on an Escape project and created our Kickstarter with our calendars along with working our day job.

Again apologies for the delay, we say we, it is in fact I, it is just me working on this, it’s not an excuse but hopefully it shows you how dedicated I am to the Escape Room industry. I love it and want to keep making more, unfortunately there is only one of me at the moment.

When Collabescape started as a project I was working on it a lot and has become a project I have one day a week to work on things. As an estimate I am planning to get the game out in the next few months.

Thank you for your time. We will be keeping you updated.

April update
about 2 years ago – Tue, Apr 19, 2022 at 02:42:34 AM

Hello Everyone

We hope you are all well and have had a wonderful Easter with family.

Here is the news on Collabescape.

We have updated the artwork on the main board and now integrated a new logo design that will be used on Collabecape products. The main board will be 45cm x 45cm, print double sided with our two main themes, Hotel and Manor.

The art work has been designed to accommodate the fold line of the main board so the folds and cuts should not interfere with game play.

The game still comes with the smaller square game board for the tutorial game ' The Office' due to reaching our stretch goal, however that is only one side of the square board, we have been thinking what to do with the empty space on the other side. The Game logo seems like a waste of space so we have decided to add one more replayable element to Collabescape.

The game operates via a timer that can be accessed via the website or Youtube. The timer is an hour and gives the feel of an Escape Room ticking clock as you rush to discover the clues and solve the puzzles. However what happens if you are getting too quick? Maybe your team has aced communication? Well now it is all about strategy...

Introducing the Sandtimer mechanic. On the opposite side of the smaller game board will be a sand timer set up with an amount of time cubes. Once every round a cube moves into the bottom part of the timer. Your time is slowing running out- one cube at a time, however not all is lost. At the expense of 2 solved puzzle cards you can receive an extra cube. Now the race is on, will you use puzzles to open doors or get extra time?

We are still updating all of the artwork for the whole game and getting the rulebook proof read to make sure everything is perfect for printing.

We thank you for patience. We are getting there.
